One data lake – many use cases
In many government organizations the power of eDiscovery and forensic big data technologies are centered around one data set of primarily unstructured data, e.g. emails, documents, etc. Often, data is collected from a number of organizations for the purpose of a parliamentary inquiry, or it’s a virtual data set comprised of connections into relevant operational systems for Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information requests. Avian has considerable experience in managing solutions that enable investigative access to a single data set of sometimes enormous volume and complexity. In some cases the data set is dynamic as data is added or removed over time. Sometimes some of the data needs to be hidden for some users while exposed for others. Sometimes only some of the data can be searched and exported in very specific formats.

Avian Analysis Toolbox to improve quality and productivity
Avian has developed the Analysis Toolbox that help governments investigations be more efficient, e.g. identify otherwise hidden relationships, consolidate identity-specific data, filtering for relevant horizontal and vertical communications.
The toolbox include visualization tools, methods and scripts that integrate easily into the investigative workflow. Some parts of the toolbox are technology-agnostic while other parts require specific technologies to be used. |
